HOW AND WHEN TO ENROL

To ensure the safety of our staff and students and to manage the number of people on campus in a Covid-safe manner during this busy period, it is our intention to enrol as many students as possible online. You can find out if you’re eligible for online enrolment on our How to Enrol page.

If you are eligible to complete your enrolment online, you will receive a unique username and password via letter and email. This will allow you to sign in to access your online enrolment dashboard.

If you do not receive this information by Monday 10th August, please contact the college on 01964 553000.

Online enrolment for this course opens on 20th August 2020.

Please note: Access to your personal online enrolment dashboard will only be available from the date stated above.

If you need support with online enrolment, please email enquiries@bishopburton.ac.uk or give us a call on 01964 553000 during the support times shown on our How to Enrol page.

If you are not eligible for online enrolment or need extra support, please call 01964 553000 to book an appointment to enrol on campus.

INDUCTION

The enrolment process will be complete once you have attended Bishop Burton for your induction sessions, which will be the week commencing 7th September 2020.

The days that you are expected to be on campus for your induction sessions will be the same as your normal timetable. This will be sent to you via post after you have enrolled.

At induction, students will receive their ID badge, a copy of their Learner Agreement and details about how to access your college email account, including your username and password.

Industry placement is a key component of the T Level and you will need to attend an early years setting placement for 315 hours over the 2 year course which will mean at least one day per week in placement on top of your lessons in college.

We have formed a partnership with the NHS and it's likely your industry placement will be within the NHS.

As you will know, you will need a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, (at a cost of approximately £44), before starting your workplace experience. All of your working environments are Ofsted-registered and health and safety checked and approved.

Before you begin your course, you’ll need to make sure you’re prepared with the right equipment. Many of our courses need specialist health and safety clothing, but we’ve made it simple - some of your essentials and college branded clothing can be bought from our online shop.

For your course, you will need:

Smart black trousers (for work experience)

College-branded polo shirts (for work experience)

Folder with dividers to organise your work and assignments

Stationery including notepad for use in class, pens and pencils, rubber and ruler

USB pen drive (for saving your work)

Please note, you will also need £44 to cover the cost of the DBS check, which is required for your work experience.
