Please read the essential information relating to your chosen course below. This includes the equipment you will need for your studies, when you will be able to enrol as well as information about your induction to the college.

To ensure the safety of our staff and students and to manage the number of people on campus in a Covid-safe manner during this busy period, it is our intention to enrol as many students as possible online. You can find out if you’re eligible for online enrolment on our How to Enrol page.
If you are eligible to complete your enrolment online, you will receive a unique username and password via letter and email. This will allow you to sign in to access your online enrolment dashboard.
If you do not receive this information by Monday 10th August, please contact the college on 01964 553000.
Online enrolment for this programme opens on 13th August 2020.
Please note: Access to your personal online enrolment dashboard will only be available from the date stated above.
If you need support with online enrolment, please email enquiries@bishopburton.ac.uk or give us a call on 01964 553000 during the support times shown on our How to Enrol page.
If you are not eligible for online enrolment or need extra support, please call 01964 553000 to book an appointment to enrol on campus.
The enrolment process will be complete once you have attended Bishop Burton for your induction session, which will take place on Wednesday 16th September, 9.15am - 4pm.
Please bring your own device if you have one.
At induction, students will receive their ID badge, a copy of their Learner Agreement and details about how to access their college email account, including their username and password (which they can change if they wish at a later date).
The college has its own Learning Resource Centre that houses an extensive collection of books and journals. However, from time to time, it’s useful to have access to your own copies. These are the top books that we recommend you have for your course:

There is no mandatory external work experience necessary for completion of the programme. However, the skills developed as a result of work experience will help with the development of effective professional practice, progression on to higher level study and / or progression in the sector into relevant employment. For this reason, voluntary work experience you can secure is always encouraged.
There is a range of opportunities with the onsite college academy programmes and information regarding these will be provided during the induction week.
In addition, you will have access to a range of relevant trips or visits, additional qualifications and a range of subject specialist guest speakers to enhance the programme content. Guest speakers and some visits may be free but some trips or visits and courses will incur varying costs depending on the nature of the additional activity. Such costs will be kept to a reasonable rate.
Before you begin your course, you’ll need to make sure you’re prepared with the right equipment. Many of our courses need specialist health and safety clothing, but we’ve made it simple - some of your essentials and college branded clothing can be bought from our online shop.
