Work experience is an integral part of the course. Past students have gained placements all over the UK working within a range of sport, exercise and health settings.
A total of 70 hours is required in a related part of the industry during the second year of the programme.
Please note, it is the students' responsibility to source their own work placement.
Before you begin your course, you’ll need to make sure you’re prepared with the right equipment. Many of our courses need specialist health and safety clothing, but we’ve made it simple - some of your essentials and college branded clothing can be bought from our online shop.
For your course, you will need:
Students may need to complete an enhanced DBS check £40.00 (additional optional fee of £13.00 per year for the Update Service) to fulfil a voluntary work placement. Bishop Burton Sports Kit is available for purchase from our online shop at the student’s discretion. (The cost will vary depending on kit purchased; approximate cost £100).
A suitable electronic device, e.g. a laptop or tablet, with internet connectivity is required for accessing online learning.
A range of additional qualifications, short courses and study tours / trips may be offered at additional cost.
On successful completion of the programme, students have the opportunity to graduate at a ceremony wearing formal dress. The hire of the formal dress is an additional cost.
